UPDATES
The Mid-Peninsula Recorder Orchestra will be returning to in person meetings starting in September, details below. All members, new and old, are requested to fill out a membership form, included at the end of this newsletter and which can also be found on MPRO’s website, https://mpro-online.org This will insure that our records are up to date. Note that the form with this newsletter is two pages long. The completed membership form can be returned by either emailing a copy to MPRO at midpeninsularecorderorchestra@gmail.com, or by bringing it to the first rehearsal meeting that you attend. In either case dues can be paid at the rehearsal meeting. See the President’s Message for more about dues.

MPRO PRESIDENTS’S MESSAGE
Welcome to the 23/24 season of MPRO! This season will be a special one: We will be rehearsing again in person, and we will be meeting in a new location at the Veteran’s Memorial Center in Redwood City.
After many years of volunteering, Judith Unsiker has decided to step down from the president position on the MPRO board. In the name of the entire orchestra, I
would like to thank Judith for all her work and dedication to MPRO during the years. The board and I hope to continue where Judith has left off.
Chantal convinced me to join MPRO in 2017 and I have truly enjoyed playing and performing with the orchestra ever since. I am excited for the orchestra to be able to meet in person this season. I can’t wait to see you all again!
A bit about myself: My husband John and I live in San Jose and our two sons have moved out of the house. I am a program manager for a tech company, and in my free time I enjoy playing recorder, of course, and cooking, hiking, camping and spending time with friends.
Last but not least: Please make sure to fill out the registration form in the newsletter or website. The board voted on a new fee structure to enable us to stay financially sound and at the same time attract new members. We do have reduced fees in cases of financial hardship. Please reach out to the board if this applies to you.
